RJ CEO Majali elected as AACO committee member

AMMAN — The Arab Air Carriers’ Organisation (AACO) on Monday elected Royal Jordanian (RJ) CEO Samer Majali as a member of its executive committee during the 54th meeting held in Doha, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
RJ stated that AACO’s three-year executive committee includes members chosen from the CEOs of Arab airlines operating under the umbrella of the AACO.
The committee supervises the work of the AACO and discusses issues of interest to Arab airlines, including joint cooperation programmes tackling ground services, aircraft maintenance, fuel procurement, distribution methods, information technology, training and challenges facing the Arab air transport industry.
The committee consists of nine members who are elected by the 33 Arab airlines members in the AACO, Petra reported, adding that RJ has been a member of the organisation since 1965.
