AMMAN — Government sources on Saturday refuted as “baseless” news reports about the establishment of a land corridor for the delivery of cargo to Israel through Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
Unnamed sources from the ministries of transport and industry and trade were quoted in the Jordan News Agency, Petra, as refuting news reports published in Israeli media outlets and on social media networks, which claimed that the land corridor for the delivery of cargo to Israel was created to replace the Red Sea route, which has been witnessing increasing attacks by the Yemeni Houti rebels.
The sources reaffirmed the government’s “clear” position of unwavering support for the brotherly Palestinians at all times and in all means, saying such “ungrounded claims are completely rejected and aim at distorting and undermining the Jordanian unaltered stance towards the Israeli blatant aggression on Gaza”.
