AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on Monday said that the partial failure of electronic systems at the traffic ticket collecting centres at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Department was due to "repeated blackouts", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Executive Director of GAM's ICT Department, Sultan Kharabsheh, said the situation has been resolved.
GAM had to shut down computers as a precautionary measure to save data from damage that could occur due to continuous power outages, Kharabsheh said. The public will now be able to finish their transactions as usual, Kharabsheh added.
