Real estate trade volume increased 26% in first 5 months of 2022 — report

AMMAN — The real estate trade volume in the Kingdom increased by 26 per cent to reach JD2.077 billion in the first five months of 2022, compared with the same period of 2021, according to the monthly report of the Department of Lands and Survey published on Wednesday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
On a monthly level, revenues increased during the January-May period 2022 by 37 per cent to reach about JD93.1 million.
The report showed the Kingdom's real estate sales until the end of last May dropped by 2 per cent, as apartment sales went up by 5 per cent, while land sales went down by 4 per cent, compared with the same period of 2021.
At the monthly level, the volume of trading in the Jordanian real estate market rose by 14 per cent last May, compared with the same month in 2021, to reach JD350 million.
In addition, revenues saw an increase last April by 29 per cent, compared with the same month of 2021, to reach approximately JD16.1 million.
