Razzaz meets with publishers to lay out gov’t 2019-2020 priorities

AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Wednesday met with news publishers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The meeting, attended by Minister of State for Media Affairs Jumana Ghunaimat, was part of the government’s efforts to present its 2019-2020 priorities.
Razzaz stressed that the government was still receiving feedback that they targeted three categories including: protecting the underprivileged, providing the middle class with qualitative services and supporting creativity and entrepreneurship.
Regarding a general pardon, the premier said that the government was still considering its impact. Ghunaimat added that the invasion of privacy and cybercrimes on social media needed legal control, noting that the cybercrimes bill needed revision particularly article 10 related to the definition of “hate speech”.
