AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Sunday met with Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, and discussed cooperation between the two countries in various energy sectors.
During the meeting, which was attended by a number of Jordanian and Egyptian officials, Razzaz and Molla highlighted the historical relations between the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Prime Minister expressed Jordan’s desire to benefit from Egyptian expertise in the field of training and exchange of experiences in the gas industry.
Molla affirmed Egypt’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Jordan in the fields of energy, especially natural gas. He pointed to Egypt’s use of gas in factories and houses, noting that 9 million housing units in Egypt are equipped with gas for domestic uses.
