AMMAN — Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 689,674 passengers in April 2017, registering a significant year-on-year leap of 14.6 per cent compared with the same month last year, according to a statement from the Airport International Group.
In April, the airport recorded 6,184 aircraft movements, representing a year-on-year rise of 2.6 per cent, as well as handling 8,816 tonnes of cargo, resulting in a decrease of 8.8 per cent compared of April 2016, the statement said.
By the end with April, QAIA had received 2,361,458 passengers in 2017, representing a year-to-date increase in passenger traffic of 5.4 per cent compared with the same period in 2016.
