AMMAN — The Qatar Charitable Society on Wednesday announced an initiative to equip a medical quarantine camp on the Jordanian border in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation.
The camp aims to enable authorities to provide medical quarantine services for suspected cases, mainly truck drivers arriving through border crossings, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Qatari Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Bin Jassim Al Thani stressed that the establishment of this camp comes within the framework of strengthening the brotherly Jordanian-Qatari relations and supporting the efforts of the Jordanian government in combatting COVID-19.
The 400-unit quarantine camp will be supervised by Jordan’s Ministry of Health, which will manage the camp and the agencies concerned with combatting the coronavirus pandemic.
