Qatamesh named cancer foundation director

AMMAN — HRH Princess Ghida Talal, the chairperson of the board of trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, on Tuesday announced appointing Nisrin Qatamesh as director general of the foundation.

Princess Ghida expressed her confidence that Qatamesh is qualified to head the foundation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Qatamesh joined the foundation in 2008 and was director of the Jordan Breast Cancer Programme, a major national and regional programme to raise awareness on the early detection of breast cancer. She succeeds HH Princess Dina Mired, who resigned in June.
