AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday decided to extend financial support to public transport operators for the next three months (April, May and June) at a total cost of JD5,854,770.
The decision, approved during a Cabinet session chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, aims at supporting the public transport sector in the face of fuel derivative price increases.
The decision is also intended to avoid increasing transport rates for citizens, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Council of Ministers also approved the validating reasons for the 2023 Passports Bylaw, which aim at enhancing efforts to attract investors to hold projects for obtaining the Jordanian nationality.
