Public holiday announced for Christmas, New Year’s Day

AMMAN — The Labour Ministry said on Sunday that Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh issued a circular announcing that all ministries, official departments, public institutions, universities, municipalities, councils, the Greater Amman Municipality and companies owned by the government will observe a public holiday on Monday, December 25, 2023, on the occasion of Christmas and January 1, 2024, on the occasion of New Year’s Day. The circular excluded ministries, departments and official institutions, whose nature of work requires otherwise, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
