PSUT president inaugurates Halal Pharmaceuticals Marketing Forum

AMMAN — Deputising for HRH Princess Sumaya, chairperson of the board of trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), President of PSUT Mashhour Rifai on Wednesday inaugurated the second Global Forum for Marketing of Halal (permitted in Islamic Sharia) Pharmaceuticals.

During the forum, Rifai underscored developments of new bases for pharmaceutical industry, adding that the “halal pharmaceutical industry is one of the crucial economic issues that the world encounters today”.

Head of the forum, Baker Sarhan, highlighted the need for cooperation between academia and the research and industrial institutions to develop halal pharmaceuticals, so that Jordan may lead the industry regionally and beyond.

Rifai voiced his appreciation towards all participants and supporting parties who contributed to succeeding the forum.
