AMMAN — Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) announced that the King Talal School of Business Technology (KTSBT) has been awarded the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).

Granted at the institutional level, the prestigious accolade is globally recognised as a premier hallmark of institutional excellence, awarded exclusively to business schools that demonstrate the highest standards in education, research, and community engagement, according to a PSUT statement.

PSUT President Wejdan Abu Elhaija expressed her pride in this achievement as well as in the strategic milestone that consolidates the leadership of the King Talal School of Business Technology.

She also emphasised that KTSBT is the first business school in Jordan to obtain this distinguished accreditation, reflecting its academic prominence and underscoring the excellence of its programs and faculty at both the regional and international levels.

Abu Elhaija also pointed out that this accomplishment seamlessly complements the school’s existing American AACSB accreditation (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), awarded by the international accreditation body for business schools. As a result, KTSBT joins an elite top 1% of business schools worldwide that have successfully attained both of these leading international accreditations, commonly referred to as the “Double Crown.”

She added that this achievement reflects the vision of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of PSUT’s Board of Trustees, who places great emphasis on continuous development and strengthening the university’s international standing across various fields of science and knowledge.

Dean of KTSBT Adiy Tweissi stated that the EQUIS accreditation process is anchored in a rigorous, comprehensive assessment of all institutional operations, including governance, programme quality, faculty calibre, research output, corporate relations, social responsibility, and sustainability. It also aims to elevate management education by guiding institutions toward continuous development aligned with robust international benchmarks.

Tweissi added that accreditation standards perfectly align with KTSBT’s vision of integrating business and technology, embedding a culture of continuous quality improvement, and equipping the labour market with graduates who possess deep knowledge and advanced practical skills that foster entrepreneurship and innovation.

By securing this milestone, KTSBT continues to build confidence among students, employers, and partners in its programs, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to delivering world-class business education that keeps pace with global market dynamics and drives sustainable, positive impact, the statement said.

This international recognition significantly enhances the school’s global reputation, amplifying its capacity to attract top-tier students and distinguished faculty.

It also paves the way for cross-border strategic partnerships while providing a dynamic framework for innovation and continuous improvement.
