PSD rescues people stranded by heavy rain in Shobak

AMMAN — Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) personnel on Monday rescued several people who were stranded by heavy rain in Shobak in the southern governorate of Maan. The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said that the rescue teams intervened as rainwater flooded homes, leaving residents trapped, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The CDD teams also evacuated a driver whose vehicle was trapped in floodwaters. All rescued individuals were transferred to safety and were reported in fair condition.
