PSD honours officer, citizen who saved child’s life

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Fadel Hmoud has honoured Sergeant Nawras Barakat and citizen Malek Mohammad for their courage in saving a child from drowning in the King Abdullah Canal a few days ago.

Hmoud also issued an order to recruit Mohammad to the PSD. He pointed out that the incident proves the strength of the relationship, built on unity and cooperation, between PSD personnel and citizens.

Hmoud awarded Sergeant Barakat with a medal of field proficiency in recognition of his outstanding and courageous service to his country and society.
