PSD expresses condolences to family of missing Zarqa man

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) personnel have extended their condolences to the family of Hamza Khatib, a young man who was washed away by torrential waters in Wadi Al Qamar in Zarqa two weeks ago.

Despite ongoing searches by specialised teams, Khatib's family announced his death and performed the absentee funeral prayer, which is performed for those who die abroad without a proper burial, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The victim's family expressed gratitude for the authorities' efforts to find Khatib, Petra said.
