PSD chief heads traffic safety meeting

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Sarhan Faqih on Wednesday headed a traffic safety meeting, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Faqih said that His Majesty King Abdullah warned of the dangers of ignoring traffic laws, which cause hundreds of deaths every year.

Responding to the King’s warnings, Faqih said the PSD is reviewing its traffic strategies and taking all measures that to ensure road safety.

He also said that the PSD will continue with its traffic awareness programmes, as well as taking more effective measures to detect violations.
