PSD, AND destroy drugs seized in 23 cases

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) at the Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Tuesday destroyed drugs that had been seized in 23 cases. AND Director Col. Hassan Qudah said that the destroyed amount included 3,010 kilogrammes of hashish, 990 kilogrammes of heroin, 167 kilogrammes of marijuana, 23 kilogrammes of synthetic hashish, 8,285,000 Captagon pills and 80,000 pills of other types, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Brig. Gen. Khalid Ajrami, assistant PSD director for human resources and training, who headed the committee to destroy the drugs, said that work is ongoing round the clock and nationwide to implement the security campaign against drugs.
