Princess Taghrid celebrates birthday Wednesday

AMMAN — Wednesday marks HRH Princess Taghrid Mohammad’s birthday.

Princess Taghrid was born in Amman, where she received her early education.

She began her studies at the University of Jordan faculty of arts in 1971 and completed her higher education in antiquities in Britain.

The princess heads an institution that provides training for young residents of underprivileged areas.

Princess Taghrid is the honorary president of the Jordanian Women’s Development Society and the Arab Women Forum in Beirut.

HRH Prince Mohammad, the personal representative of His Majesty King Abdullah, married Princess Taghrid in 1981.

The princess is the daughter of the late Hazzaa Majali, a former prime minister.
