Princess Sumaya opens int’l Petra exhibition

AMMAN — HRH Princess Sumaya on Friday inaugurated the “Petra: Wonder of the Desert” exhibition on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the city’s discovery.
At the opening ceremony, held at the Jordan Museum, the princess spoke of the exhibition’s previous hosts, including Basel, Switzerland in 2012 and in Leiden, the Netherlands in 2013, adding that it is expected to tour the cities of the world to promote Petra.
Sharifa Nofa Bint Nasser, director of the Jordan Museum, and several officials attended the opening ceremony.
