AMMAN — HRH Princess Sumaya, the president of the Royal Scientific Society and the World Science Forum for 2017, on Saturday attended a high-level meeting at the UN headquarters in New York, in cooperation with the Jordanian and Hungarian delegations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The meeting aimed to prepare for the science forum, to be held in Jordan this November. Princess Sumaya highlighted the important role of young people in employing science for world peace, noting that Jordan will host the forum, to be held under the slogan “Science for Peace” for the first time at a regional level.
The World Science Forum, held every two years, was started by the Hungarian Academy of Science and UNESCO, with support from the Hungarian government, Petra reported.
