Princess Sanaa inaugurates 9th Arab Renewable Energy Forum

AMMAN — HRH Princess Sanaa Asem, chairperson of the higher oversight committee at the Arab Renewable Energy Commission (AREC), on Monday inaugurated  the 9th Arab Renewable Energy Forum, themed  "The Future of Renewable Energy and Green Education in the Arab World."

The forum, attended by 13 countries, discussed incentives for electric vehicles and green hydrogen, green technical and vocational education, and international electricity interconnection, the Jordan News Agency Petra, reported.

It also aimed at developing a strategy to link education with labour needs and training in basic, technical and educational skills, especially as Jordan is "one of the most advanced" Arab countries in this field. Also, the forum launched two Arab competitions to encourage creativity and productivity: the Solar Car Race with the American Solar Car Challenge and the Solar Boat Race with the International Solar Boat Organisation in the Netherlands.
