Princess inaugurates ‘Communication through Research’ conference

AMMAN — HRH Princess Ghida, chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Centre and Foundation’s board of trustees, on Saturday inaugurated the launch of the “Communication through Research” conference in Amman.

The conference was organised by the centre in cooperation with the MD Anderson Cancer Centre and the American University in Beirut’s medical centre.

In her opening speech, the princess announced the King Hussein Bin Talal Award for Cancer Research, saying that “partnerships with specialised institutions and centres in the region and the world are essential to uniting efforts to combat cancer and provide the best healthcare for our patients”.

According to the statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, a number of permanent specialists and medical doctors attended the opening ceremony of the two-day conference. The panel will discuss 140 scientific papers with some of the world’s top specialists and researchers, the statement added.
