AMMAN — HRH Princess Dana Firas, president of the Association of the World Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS Jordan) and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Heritage, on Wednesday visited the German-Jordanian University.
During the meeting, Princess Dana and University President Alaiddin Halhouli discussed means to enhance cooperation and the possibility to organise a symposium on modern heritage in the Arab world in cooperation with the architecture and environment faculty at the university over the next few months, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The meeting also included a briefing on the role of ICOMOS Jordan in preserving the Kingdom’s cultural heritage and a summary on the architecture faculty and its role in guiding students to implement projects that serve national heritage.
