Princess Basma development centre hold women’s day celebrations

AMMAN — The Princess Basma Community Development Centre on Saturday held an International Women’s Day celebration titled “Balance for a Better World”, in cooperation with the Building Economic Sustainability through Tourism project.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority’s (ASEZA) Vice Chief Commissioner Imad Hijazin highlighted the important role of civil society institutions in meeting the needs of citizens through their initiatives, pointing out ASEZA’s readiness to unite efforts in achieving sustainable development goals.
Centre Director Fatima Hinnawi pointed out that the celebration was held to shed light on some of the challenges facing women and to bring to light studies that show the positive social and economic impact of creating balance and diversity.
