AMMAN — HRH Princess Basma, president of the Jordanian Association for Boy Scouts and Girl Guides, on Saturday chaired the association’s general assembly meeting, during which the financial and administrative report for 2015 was ratified and approved and the association’s executive committee was formed, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, Princess Basma commended the efforts of the education and youth ministries and the Greater Amman Municipality in supporting the Arab Scout Camp’s scouts and guides.
Also speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat, who is also vice president of the association, called for establishing an independent directorate for boy scouts and girl guides affiliated with his ministry.
