Princess Aya hails Jordan’s ‘volleyball family’

AMMAN — HRH Princess Aya Bint Faisal, president of the Jordan Volleyball Federation, on Wednesday expressed her great pride and appreciation for “the volleyball family” and their successes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The princess addressed the “Jordanian volleyball family” in a speech to mark the opening of the 2021 season, which begins on Thursday.

The princess highlighted that despite the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, the volleyball federation has attracted a number of national partners and supporters. She thanked the federation’s partners for their role in supporting Jordanian sports, particularly volleyball.

The princess congratulated the “Jordanian volleyball family” on entering the country's second centenary and added that the federation, after the achievements made in the first centenary, will hold an international championship for men and women's teams next year within a healthy and safe environment.

She also expressed her hope for the national junior team’s participation in the Arab Championship that will be held in Tunisia next August.
