Prince Raad visits Hashemite University

AMMAN — HRH Prince Raad, the Regent, on Wednesday visited the Hashemite University where he took a first-hand look at a number of projects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
The projects include a green energy development project, a solar power station, modern classroom buildings designed according to green building principles, a water desalination station and a plant cultivation project for jojoba and jatropha.
During the visit, the prince, accompanied by the university President Kamal Bani Hani and members of the Dean's Council, emphasised the importance of providing facilities for persons with disabilities and introducing courses in sign language, disability, and health.
He also encouraged supporting disabled students' activities, providing them constant care and effective integration into the university, according to Petra. For his part, Bani Hani explained that in addition to the accomplished projects, the university is building the fourth largest construction laboratory in the world.
