AMMAN — HRH Prince Omar bin Feisal, President of the Jordan Esports Federation, on Friday crowned national team player Saifeddine Dababneh champion of the Arab Esports League, held at the Esports Dome in King Hussein Business Park in Amman.
Dababneh successfully defended his Arab League title in the ‘E-Football’ video game after defeating Morocco’s national team player 2-0 in the final, securing the trophy for the third consecutive year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In the women’s ‘E-Football’ competition, Morocco claimed the title, while Tunisia won the women’s ‘TEKKEN8’ championship, and Saudi Arabia secured the men’s category crown.
The tournament, which brought together participants from 18 Arab countries as well as a UNICEF refugee team, marked the first time Amman hosted the event, after Saudi Arabia staged the previous three editions.
At the conclusion of the championship, Prince Omar and Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, president of the Arab Esports Federation, presented awards to the top three winners.
