AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, Chief Chamberlain and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Hashemite Commission for Disabled Soldiers (HCDS), on Sunday received Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud.
During a tour of the commission's facilities, the ambassador was introduced to the health, rehabilitation, social and psychological services provided to disabled military personnel, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also checked on HCDS empowerment, training and rehabilitation programmes aimed at improving their quality of life and promoting their integration into society.
Prince Mired said that the commission is committed to developing its services and expanding cooperation and the exchange of expertise with relevant institutions to enhance the level of care provided to disabled military personnel.
For his part, Prince Mansour expressed appreciation for HCDS's national and humanitarian role, commending the quality of its services and programmes for wounded military personnel, which reflect the care and attention accorded to this segment.
The ambassador signed the visitors' book, expressing appreciation for the commission's efforts and wishing it continued success in carrying out its national and humanitarian mission.
Also on Sunday, Prince Mired held separate meetings with Turkish Ambassador Yakup Caymazoglu and Japanese Ambassadors to Jordan Asari Hideki, at the commission's headquarters, according to Petra.
Touring HCDS's venues, the two ambassadors learnt about the "comprehensive" medical, rehabilitative, social, and psychological services provided to injured military personnel.
Prince Mired stressed the importance of expanding international cooperation and sharing expertise to "continuously" upgrade care and rehabilitation standards.
For their part, the Turkish and Japanese envoys praised HCDS’s "advanced" facilities and the Kingdom’s humanitarian approach to supporting wounded veterans.
