Prince Mired meets with Senate education committee

AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, on Thursday met with members of the Senate’s Education Committee to check on efforts exerted to apply the 10-year inclusive education strategy launched by the Education Ministry.
Prince Mired said that the education of people with disabilities is among top issues that the council focuses on, referring to several challenges facing them, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also stressed the need to join efforts between the council and all stakeholders to reach an educational system that can address diversity and difference and meet the requirements of accessibility for people with disabilities. Senator Mahasen Jaghoub, head of the committee, praised the council’s efforts in light of challenges related to financial, economic and human resources.
