AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), on Wednesday visited Irbid and checked on the procedures to resume accessibility requirements for people with disabilities within the rehabilitated zones in the governorate, King Abdullah II Parks and Yarmouk University.
Prince Mired said that these rehabilitated zones reflect a qualitative step towards instilling the concept of an encompassing environment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The prince referred to the importance of follow-ups on work progress under a memorandum of understanding between the HCD, the Greater Irbid Municipality and Yarmouk University as part of the first phase of the national accessibility strategy to rectify the status of existing buildings.
Irbid Governor Radwan Otoum highlighted the importance of the project that targets a vital park, which is one of the biggest parks in the northern region of the Kingdom.
