Prince Mired celebrates 24 Tawjihi high-scorers with disabilities

AMMAN — HRH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, on Sunday awarded 24 high-achieving students with disabilities who achieved outstanding results on the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The prince congratulated the students on successfully passing their exams despite the challenges they face in light of the insufficient implementation of inclusive accommodations in educational facilities.
He also extended appreciation towards the role of parents in supporting their children.
He stressed that since the issuance of the 2017 Rights of Persons with Disabilities Law No. (20), the council has prioritised inclusive education as part of a 10-year strategy to be implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the German Agency for International Cooperation.
The prince extended thanks to a number of private sector partners, stressing the importance of the vital role played by the private sector, and voicing the council’s pride in the partnership.
