Prince Mired, Bani Mustafa discuss accommodation for persons with disabilities

AMMAN — HRH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) and Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa on Tuesday discussed ways to enhance cooperation and the latest developments related to the implementation of the national strategy to reach alternatives to shelters for persons with disabilities.

Prince Mired called on the relevant authorities to provide an appropriate environment to implement the strategy and enhance independent accommodation for persons with disabilities in order to guarantee their independence and equality, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The prince also affirmed HCD's readiness to provide all technical support required to accelerate the implementation of the strategy. Bani Mustafa expressed the ministry's keenness to strengthen partnerships with the HCD and partner agencies to follow up on the strategy's implementation.
