AMMAN — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Sunday met with Anna Bjerde, the World Bank’s managing director of operations, to discuss economic cooperation and partnership priorities.
During the meeting at the Prime Ministry, attended by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, the premier commended the partnership between Jordan and the World Bank Group, praising its role in supporting the Kingdom’s efforts to implement key economic and development projects.
For her part, Bjerde praised Jordan’s economic and developmental efforts, affirming the World Bank Group's continued support for major government projects in energy, transport, water, education, healthcare and digital transformation.
She also emphasized the bank's commitment to supporting capacity building, knowledge transfer and economic policies that contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Economic Modernisation Vision.
