AMMAN — Police on Tuesday said they were investigating the death of a female employee at a government hospital in Ramtha earlier in the day.
The victim allegedly fell to her death from the sixth floor of the King Abdullah University Hospital on Tuesday morning, Police Spokesperson Lt. Col. Amer Sartawi said.
“We are currently investigating the incident,” Sartawi told The Jordan Times.
A second source said the incident occurred around 7:00AM when passersby reported seeing a woman lying dead on the floor next to the hospital's building.
A government autopsy conducted by a team of pathologists at Irbid’s National Institute of Forensic Medicine ruled out foul play, a senior medical source said.
“The autopsy revealed that the 41-year-old victim’s injuries are consistent with a phall from a high place,” the senior medical official told The Jordan Times.
Therefore, the senior medical source added, foul play was ruled out.
Police said Investigations are ongoing in the case.
