AMMAN — Police on Sunday arrested a woman who upon questioning confessed to killing an 80-year old Arab national at the victim’s home in Amman on Saturday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Public Security Department’s (PSD) spokesperson said the woman confessed to stabbing the victim several times and then fleeing the scene, citing a personal dispute as her motive. Also on Sunday, police found another body of a woman who was killed at her home in Amman.
The PSD’s spokesperson said an investigation led the police to the victim’s son, an Arab national, who upon interrogation confessed to strangling his mother after a dispute. The prosecutor general decided to detain the man for 15 days on charges of murder, according to Petra.
