Police, gendarmerie chiefs meet Saudi ambassador

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi on Thursday discussed bilateral cooperation with Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Prince Khalid Bin Faisal Al Saud, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Talks covered coordination in the field of information exchange and combating terrorism and drug dealing. Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh also met with the Saudi ambassador.

Prince Khalid commended the advanced level of the gendarmerie and offered his condolences over the death of its personnel in the line of duty in the recent Karak terror attacks.

Also on Thursday, Saudi met with heads of the PSD’s field units and lauded the sacrifices of officers who died in the line of duty in Karak.
