Police chief meets with members of House’s Justice bloc

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Sarhan Faqih on Monday met with the leader and members of the Lower House’s Justice bloc and briefed them on the tasks and duties of PSD personnel in preserving security and providing policing services to citizens.

The department has already begun a review of its plans, in order to improve them in light of changes in types of crimes, Faqih said, as quoted by a PSD statement. MP Mijhem Sqour, head of the bloc, expressed the Lower House’s keenness to develop laws, through contact with relevant institutions, to enable all security institutions to improve their performances.
