Police chief meets Maan mayor, municipal council members

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi and Maan Mayor Majed Sharari on Tuesday discussed several security and traffic-related issues concerning the southern Governorate of Maan.
Saudi commended the role of Maani people in restoring stability to their governorate, stressing officials’ continued support to ensure order and security. At the meeting, attended by other Maan municipal council members, Sharari called for boosting the security presence in commercial and residential areas around-the-clock.
He also highlighted the local community’s support for national efforts to end the phenomenon of festive firing. At the end of the meeting, Saudi issued directives to concerned officials to implement a security and a traffic plan based on consultations and meetings with the local community.
