Police arrest man in Zarqa for animal abuse

AMMAN — Authorities on Tuesday arrested a man in Zarqa for allegedly towing a dog by his car on a public road, as shown in a video clip that went viral on social media, an official statement said.

Public Security Department (PSD) Spokesperson Amer Sartawi confirmed that personnel with the Royal Department for Environmental Protection (Royal Rangers) have taken him into custody and that he will be facing legal action.
