AMMAN — Zarqa Preventive Security Department (PSD) personnel seized suspected archaeological pieces in possession of an Arab national, Public Security Department Spokesperson Lt. Col. Amer Sartawi said on Thursday.
PSD personnel received a tip suggesting the suspect, whose house was searched by security agents, possessed archaeological coins and a book, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
While searching the house, the security personnel found eight coins that were believed to be of archaeological value, three black dollars and equipment used for excavating.
