AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Bisher Al Khasawneh on Thursday received a report prepared by the Royal Hashemite Documentation Centre (RHDC) on the status of archiving documents in various ministries and institutions.
The premier stressed the importance of the RHDC's efforts to preserve state documents that constitute a "national memory related to Jordan's history, present and future", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
RHDC Director General Muhannad Mubaideen, who delivered the report, said it represents a "first of its kind" project on the archiving status in Jordan's ministries and institutions, which coincides with Jordan’s state's centennial.
Mubaideen also praised the "high level" of cooperation from the government and institutions included in the RHDC's archiving survey. The project covered about 90 public institutions and a set of reports will be issued later, he pointed out.
