PM meets secretary general of Islamic Fiqh Academy

AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Monday welcomed Secretary General of the Islamic Fiqh Academy Qoutoub Moustafa Sano and stressed the need for all religious institutions in the Islamic world to clarify the true image of Islam.
During the meeting, attended by Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Mohammad Khalaileh, Khasawneh referred to the important role of the academy to promote harmony and unite the Muslim world, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Sano said that the Jeddah-based academy is an intellectual and religious scientific institution and the Sharia (Islamic law) arm of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference.
