AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Tuesday met Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Jasser and described Jordanian-Saudi relations as "strategic and based on a long history spanning over decades".
The Prime Minister indicated that there is a joint political will to expand cooperation and exchange expertise in various political, economic and social fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also referred to the importance of holding the 17th session of the Jordanian-Saudi Joint Trade Committee, which is scheduled for today, to enhance cooperation between the countries, especially in the field of transport.
Jasser underscored the deep-rooted ties and close cooperation in various fields, pointing to the two countries commitment to boosting them to serve their common interests.
He also highlighted the commitment to come up with “tangible results within fixed timetables” to establish joint projects and procedures agreed upon during the joint committee's meeting, in addition to addressing challenges to serve relations.
