PM meets Mitsubishi delegation, head of Int'l Fertiliser Industry Association

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour met on Monday with a Japanese delegation from Mitsubishi Corporation, headed by Mikio Sasaki, chairman of the corporation's board.

Discussions covered the corporation's investments and projects in the Kingdom, especially in the field of renewable energy. Sasaki said the corporation's investments in Jordan comprise 16 per cent of the total investments in the energy field.

The premier said Jordan welcomes more investments from the corporation. Also on Monday, Ensour met with International Fertiliser Industry Association President Abdulrahman Jawahery, who is visiting Jordan to take part in the 28th International Fertiliser Technology Conference and Exhibition in Amman.

Ensour congratulated Jawahery for being the first Arab to become president of the association, and called for boosting Arab cooperation in the field.
