AMMAN — The "cheap and exposed targeting of Jordan and its Hashemite leadership from time to time through leaks and fabrications reflects desperate attempts to harm the Kingdom and its achievements and leadership", Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh said on Wednesday.
Chairing a Cabinet session, via video conference, Khasawneh said that the Hashemite leadership has always paid the highest costs for the sake of the homeland and its causes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
“The honourable history and the present of our country and the prosperous future cannot be tampered through lies and fabrications,” the premier said, stressing that Jordan has always adopted “a speech of clarity and truth with an approach of commitment to our values and principles”.
He added that what refutes these lies and fabrications are the honourable stances of the Kingdom and His Majesty King Abdullah towards national and Arab causes, mainly the Palestinian issue, stressing that these positions cannot be argued.
The prime minister reiterated that Jordanian will continue to commit to its principles and values, commending the role of Arab media in several Arab countries in facing this attack against the Kingdom and wondering about the reasons of this systematic targeting against Jordan and its leadership.
