PM appoints Judge Lt. Col. Muwafaq Masaeed as new SSC head

AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Khasawneh on Tuesday decided to appoint military Judge Lt. Col. Muwafaq Masaeed as head of the State Security Court (SSC), with the membership of 19 military and civilian judges.

The decision, under the second article of the SSC law No.17 for 1959 and its amendments, included the appointment of 15 military judges and four civilian judges, who had been nominated by the Judicial Council.
