Plan to launch 5G on the anvil — TRC

AMMAN — The Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC) is about to launch 5G technologies and is currently negotiating companies to produce a relevant plan and strategy, TRC President Bassam Sarhan said.

Sarhan told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, recently that the commission has not yet reached a final plan, refusing to give a date for the launch.

Maher Khayyat, regional director for business applications at Microsoft, said that several experts in the ICT sector believe that 5G services will speed up the Fourth Industrial Revolution in terms of data and information services.
