Philippine president due in Amman next week

AMMAN — Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is scheduled to start an official visit to the Kingdom next Wednesday, during which he will hold talks with His Majesty King Abdullah on means to enhance cooperation between the countries.

Talks between the two leaders will also focus on a number of issues of mutual interest, a Royal Court statement said.

Senior officials and a business delegation will accompany the president in his several-day visit to discuss with Jordanian counterparts opportunities to initiate new investment partnerships and boost trade exchange between the two countries.
